Rail gate keeper jumps before moving train

A rail gate keeper ended his life by jumping before the "Ruhunu Kumari" express train on Friday.

The deceased was Bulathsinhalage Ranjan Cooray of Kamburugamuwa.

The inquest was held by the acting inquirer into sudden deaths, Matara, Upasena Thenabadu. It was revealed at the inquest that the victim was addicted to liqour and he had repeatedly said that he would take his life.

Matara police are conducting further investigations.
