TNA wants India as third party - Modi to be told
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) said yesterday that they would communicate to the visiting Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on the need for Indian mediation as a third party, which they feel is essential to resolve the ethnic crisis in the island nation.
A special group of representatives led by TNA Leader, R. Sampanthan, is due to meet Prime Minister Modi in Colombo today. TNA MP Suresh Premachandran told Ceylon Today, that they will also point out to the Indian Prime Minister that the 13th Amendment to the Constitution alone was inadequate to solve the problem.

"All the Tamil people, who were displaced during the war, have not yet been resettled. The Army should move out of their lands in order to resettle all of them. This fact will be pointed out to PM Modi," Premachandran said. He added that discussions are due to be held with the Indian Prime Minister regarding the problems of repatriation of Sri Lankan refugees in India, efforts of the Sri Lankan Government to find the persons who went missing during the war, and the issue of political prisoners.
