House of the Parliamentarian Jayantha Ketagoda has been stormed by a group of protesters at the moment demanding the latter to step down from his Parliamentary seat.
MP Vasudewa Nanayakkara just brought it to the notice of the Speaker in Parliament just while ago that a group clad in similar attires has surrounded ketagoda’s house and screaming slogans.
“MP Ketagoda who is stuck inside the house telephoned MP Dinesh Gunawardena and informed this. I would like to bring it to the notice of the House,” Nanayakkara added.
Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody who is in the Chair said the matter was brought in to the notice of the Speaker already.
“Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa and I informed this to the IGP. Police chief said immediate action will be taken to provide necessary security for Ketagoda and his residence,” he added.
